Thanks to all who attended our first Get Your Business On Course workshop and helped to make this concept a huge success. It was a full house at the Harbor Club in Bellevue last Wednesday where business women came from all over Seattle to learn how to get started in the sport of golf and use it effectively for business development. Keynote presenter Chuck Armstrong, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Seattle Mariners, shared his experiences with the game of golf and advice keeping the right attitude on the golf course.
University of Washington Womens’ Golf Coach, Mary Lou Mulflur, shared the “3 Things You Need To Know About Golf” which can help you to feel comfortable enough to try the game of golf today. Jen Mueller, ROOT Sports Reporter and founder of Talk Sporty To Me, shared her expert tips for having meaningful conversations on the course that lead to better relationships off the course. (Hint: It’s not by talking about politics, religion, money, or sex.)
Image Consultant Kim Crumpler told the packed room of Seattle business professionals to “discover their authentic personal brand” and gave them actionable tips to do just that. Our Sales Detective Lori Richardson unveiled opportunities to be involved with the game, even if you don’t golf, and explained how to avoid being “bad salesy“.

Here is what some of the women have said about this business development workshop:
“I was so impressed! As a frequent golfer – I loved meeting other women golfers and was excited to see those who are not … yet … looking differently at the game and the opportunities for business development. I can’t wait for the next one!” – Debbie
“I am not a golfer but you have inspired me to try it! I learned so much about the game and not to be intimidated. Loved all the tips about creating relationships!” – Melodie
“This event inspired me greatly! Not only to get out there and golf, but all of the speakers gave me something to ponder as a business owner as well! It was a great group of women, I had a fabulous time! You personally inspired me (with your fantastic presentation, you have a gift!) to read the headlines in the sports page every day, such a great idea! I also literally tookaway a fabulous handbag I won in the raffle! Thank you!” – Kristen
